• Location: Tyler, TX 75701
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour nights
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Duration: 10 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,530 - $1,620
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Patient Ratio: 1:7
• Weekend Coverage: Required, with 4 weekend shifts per contract
• Float: May float to long-term acute care or other units to support med-surg patients

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• ACLS and BLS required
• CPI and NIHSS preferred or required as applicable
• Experience in med-surg, rehabilitation nursing, LTAC, or similar acute care settings preferred
• Strong patient education, safety, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric rehab patients
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from CVA, orthopedic surgery, brain injury, and debility
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and support individualized treatment plans
• Manage ports, central lines, IVs, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, wounds, and other common rehab needs
• Support patient mobility, fall prevention, isolation protocols, and recovery goals
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
• Educate patients and families to support discharge planning and independence
• Float as needed to provide med-surg support in other areas of the hospital
