Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the last 12 months
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and comfort working in a fast-paced telemetry unit
• Compliance with pre-start onboarding requirements, including required screenings and fingerprinting timelines

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg telemetry patients during the night shift
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and carry out ordered treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support coordinated patient care
• Document care thoroughly and maintain a strong focus on patient safety and continuity of care
• Support patient education, discharge readiness, and compassionate bedside care
• Contribute to a dependable, team-oriented unit environment that values quality and professionalism
