Job Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred or required per unit standards
• Reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the last 12 months
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Strong communication skills and confidence working in a team-based acute care setting
• Must meet specialty experience requirements for this Ohio travel RN role

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients in an acute care hospital
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to established standards of care
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and efficiently in the medical record
• Respond to evolving patient needs in a fast-paced medical-surgical telemetry environment
• Support unit workflow, patient safety, and quality care initiatives
