• Location: Houston, TX 77030 – On-site (Texas Medical Center area)
• Position: Interim Director, Case Management (Travel / Interim)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: June 15, 2026
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 5 shifts per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,141 - $3,490

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in case management leadership or director-level roles (hospital case management preferred)
• Active RN license and/or Social Work credentials (LCSW or equivalent)
• Demonstrated expertise in case management, care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization management
• Strong communication, organizational, and interdisciplinary team leadership skills
• Experience with quality improvement, compliance, and performance monitoring in a clinical setting
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment; travel/interim experience a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight for the Case Management department and hospital case management operations
• Supervise, mentor and develop RN Case Managers, Social Workers, and care coordination staff
• Implement best practices for discharge planning, transitional care, and utilization review to optimize patient flow and outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, utilization review, and allied health teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Monitor department performance metrics, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives
• Serve as a resource and advocate for patients, families, and staff; support complex case reviews and appeals

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Certified Case Manager (CCM) or relevant certifications in case management or utilization review
• Experience leading case management in large academic medical centers or systems within the Texas Medical Center
• Proven track record in process improvement, staff development, and cross-functional collaboration
