We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse with Labor & Delivery experience to join a busy maternity care team in Des Moines, Iowa. This 13-week travel nursing opportunity offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour nights, giving you the chance to support mothers and babies while enjoying a welcoming Midwest city known for its friendly atmosphere, vibrant downtown, great dining, and easy access to parks and local attractions.

- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Hours: 36 hours per week

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment skills in maternal health, newborn care, and postpartum care
- Ability to work nights and provide reliable 12-hour coverage
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
- Ability to meet travel assignment and onboarding requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Assist with admissions, assessments, labor support, and delivery room preparation
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to support quality outcomes
- Educate and support patients and families during an important stage of care
- Document care accurately and maintain attention to detail throughout each shift
