Job Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience in an acute care setting
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required
• Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Certifications must be active and in hand; pending items are not accepted
• Experience completing ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication assessments during orientation is expected
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination compliance required, with approved medical or religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg Tele patients in an acute care hospital environment
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, and clinical documentation
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to nursing standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Prioritize patient safety, clinical accuracy, and compassionate bedside care
• Participate in orientation and required competency and compliance processes as scheduled
