Job Details

• Position: Physical Therapist (Outpatient Physical Therapy)
• Setting: Hospital-based outpatient therapy center
• Location: Norfolk, VA
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
• Shifts per Week: 4 shifts per week
• Schedule: Mix of opening and closing shifts; schedule may vary
• Specialty Focus: Primarily orthopedic rehab with some lower-acuity neurological cases
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030-$2,190
• Start Date: September 14, 2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Physical Therapist experience
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist license eligibility or compact acceptance where applicable
• Experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered healthcare environment
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Business casual attire

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat outpatient physical therapy patients with a focus on orthopedic and select neurological conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, function, and quality of life
• Manage a productive caseload while maintaining high standards of patient care
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Document evaluations, progress, and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner
• Provide patient education and home exercise programs to support recovery and long-term success
