Job Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty
• Minimum 18 months of recent CVICU or Cardiac ICU experience; travel RN experience may be accepted
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Manager, ANM, supervisor, or director reference in the specialty from the past 12 months
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Willingness to complete required compliance steps prior to start, including background check and fingerprinting requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing to cardiovascular and cardiac ICU patients in a fast-paced CVICU setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret ECG findings, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and support treatment plans in accordance with ICU standards and best practices
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote safe, effective patient care
• Deliver compassionate bedside nursing with attention to detail, safety, and patient-centered outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold unit protocols, compliance expectations, and quality standards
