Job Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience highly desired
• Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care
• Comfort with documentation, clerical support, and following hospital safety and infection control standards

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care, bedside support, and clinical assistance under the general supervision of an RN
• Assist with documentation of care provided and maintain accurate patient records
• Support patient safety by following hospital policies, procedures, and infection prevention practices
• Prepare, assemble, deliver, and retrieve patient menus and meal selections according to prescribed diets
• Assist patients with menu selections while honoring diet restrictions, allergies, sensitivities, and personal preferences when appropriate
• Update diet changes, validate menu labels, and help ensure accuracy in the patient menu system
• Communicate patient care and food service concerns to the department as needed
• Perform clerical tasks such as faxing, filing, photocopying, answering phones, and maintaining office organization
• Assist with trayline, food service aide, or catering support when needed
• Participate in in-services, meetings, and other assigned duties as part of the healthcare team
