Job Details

• Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown / Med-Surg Telemetry
• Location: Lima, Ohio 45801
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week; every other weekend and every other holiday
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Setting: 28-bed medical-surgical telemetry and renal unit
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:4-5, subject to staffing needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Ability to complete a dysrhythmia exam
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Comfort working in a fast-paced acute care, stepdown, or telemetry environment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric telemetry patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips throughout the shift
• Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with policy and clinical practice standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and support positive patient outcomes
• Manage patients receiving drips and advanced respiratory support as needed
• Educate patients and families and serve as a patient advocate
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
