Required Qualifications (Registered Nurse – ER)

• Active RN license in New Jersey or compact state (Compact RN accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room / Emergency Department nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Experience with emergency medications, IV/IO therapy, and basic procedural support
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to work night/evening shift as an ER travel nurse

Key Responsibilities (ER / ED Registered Nurse)

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to adult and pediatric patients in the ED
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and prioritization of incoming patients
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per provider orders
• Assist with procedures, stabilize patients, and deliver life-saving interventions when needed
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record
• Maintain situational awareness in a high-acuity emergency department and follow trauma protocols as applicable

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Previous travel nurse experience or short-term contract flexibility
• Trauma/critical care background or ED certifications (TNCC, ENPC) a plus
• Comfortable with high patient volume and variable acuity typical of Jersey Shore emergency departments
