Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience (cardiac/stepdown experience preferred)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• Current Illinois RN license in good standing
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for CVICU and cardiac stepdown patients, including post-op CABG, vascular, and ICU-status patients
• Monitor and assess cardiovascular status, report changes, and intervene per unit protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Uphold hospital and unit-based competencies and standards of care
• Conduct hourly rounding on patients to ensure safety and satisfaction
• Collaborate proactively with internal and external customers as part of a multidisciplinary team
