Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,190 – $2,540
• Location: Tucson, AZ and surrounding areas (Oracle, San Manuel, Mammoth, Oro Valley, Saddlebrooke, Marana, Picture Rocks, Casas Adobes)
• Setting: Hospice (Travel Assignment) — home-based hospice and facility visits
• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift: 8-hour days
• On Call/Weekend Requirement: None
• Dress Code: Scrubs (any color except black)
• Mileage: Reimbursed between visits (from first patient to last patient)

Job Requirements

• Active Nursing License (must be valid in state of assignment)
• CPR Certification (BLS preferred)
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required; hospice or palliative care experience preferred
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage a caseload and work independently as a travel RN
• Reliable transportation for patient visits (mileage reimbursed)

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 16–18 hospice patients and implement individualized plans of care
• Conduct patient admissions to hospice services and complete thorough assessments
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings and collaborate with the hospice team
• Coordinate and implement care plans including symptom and medication management in collaboration with providers
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in home and facility settings focused on palliative and end-of-life care
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team, including advance care planning conversations as appropriate
• Document all patient interactions and care provided according to policy and charting standards
