Are you an RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys clinical variety, and wants to be part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of patients and their families?
We’re seeking Staff Registered Nurses for Emergency Department openings at a well-established, community-based hospital. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative clinical team where nurses play an essential role in delivering high-quality emergency care, supporting patients through critical moments, and helping ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Unlike larger, highly impersonal healthcare environments, community hospitals offer the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with colleagues, work closely with interdisciplinary teams, and make a visible impact on the patients and families who rely on their care.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
-
Community-focused care: Make a meaningful difference in the lives of local patients and families.
-
Collaborative environment: Work alongside an interdisciplinary team focused on patient safety, quality outcomes, and excellent care.
-
Professional development: Strengthen your emergency nursing knowledge through ongoing training, clinical education, and specialty certification opportunities.
-
A voice in patient care: Participate in a Shared Governance framework that supports nursing engagement and professional practice.
What You’ll Do
As an Emergency Department RN, you’ll provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.
-
Assess patient conditions, prioritize care, and implement individualized nursing interventions.
-
Coordinate total patient care in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
-
Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and respond appropriately to urgent and emergent situations.
-
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
-
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
-
Advocate for patients while promoting safety, dignity, and a positive patient experience.
-
Follow established clinical standards, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements.
-
Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain competency in emergency nursing care.
What We’re Looking For
Preferred qualifications:
-
Previous acute care Emergency Department nursing experience.
-
Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or another relevant specialty certification.
-
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) training is recommended.
Additional required education includes annual stroke training and completion of sexual assault and trauma training within the first year.
About the Organization
You’ll be joining a respected, established nonprofit community healthcare organization serving patients and families throughout its local region. With a focus on community-based care, clinical quality, and patient experience, the organization combines the resources of an established health system with the close collaboration and community connection that can make a smaller hospital environment especially rewarding.
For nurses who value teamwork, meaningful patient interactions, and the opportunity to contribute to a strong nursing culture, this is an opportunity to build your career while making a difference close to home.
