Travel Surgical Technologist Job Details

• Location: Chardon, Ohio
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690–$1,820
• Start Date: October 18, 2026
• End Date: January 16, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel contract
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 40 hours per week
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Call Requirement: Approximately one call shift per week within a six-week schedule, plus one weekend call approximately every five weeks
• Call Response Time: Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes when called
• Openings: 4

Operating Room Technician Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent operating room or surgical technologist experience
• Certified Surgical Technician credential
• Proven ability to scrub orthopedic total joint procedures
• Experience scrubbing laparoscopic and robotic procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a Level III trauma center and fast-paced surgical environment
• Availability for scheduled, weekend, and mandatory call coverage as needed
• Current skills checklist and completion of required competency assessments
• Reliable transportation and ability to meet the required call response time

Surgical Technologist Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for scheduled procedures
• Scrub and assist with orthopedic total joint, laparoscopic, robotic, and other surgical cases
• Maintain sterile technique and support infection prevention throughout procedures
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and the perioperative team during surgical procedures
• Perform surgical counts and help ensure accurate management of instruments, sponges, and supplies
• Support safe operating room turnover and maintain an organized, procedure-ready environment
• Respond promptly to assigned call shifts and emergency surgical needs
• Collaborate with registered nurses, surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the surgical services team
