Travel Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing
• Active Registered Nurse license, with a permanent Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at the time of submission
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications in hand at the time of submission
• Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty
• Strong cardiac rhythm recognition and medication-safety knowledge
• Ability to successfully complete required orientation assessments and onboarding activities
• Must meet applicable background screening, drug screening, and credentialing requirements
• Ability to complete required pre-start and annual educational modules

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and update individualized plans of care, and evaluate outcomes
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately
