Job description

Nurse Manager – Wound Care (WOCN) (CWOCN)

Lead. Strengthen. Make an Impact.

We’re partnering with a highly respected nonprofit teaching health system in Southern California to find an experienced Wound Care Nurse Manager to lead and strengthen its inpatient wound care program.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on clinical leader who wants to do more than manage a team. The organization is looking for someone who can bring strong wound care expertise, leadership presence, and a collaborative approach to help improve operations, develop staff, and continue building a high-performing program.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the inpatient wound care program

  • Hire, coach, develop and retain clinical staff

  • Partner with physicians, nursing leadership and multidisciplinary teams

  • Drive quality, patient safety and evidence-based wound care practices

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement

  • Oversee staff education, competency and professional development

  • Support regulatory readiness and compliance

  • Help shape the continued growth and direction of the program

The Perfect Candidate:

  • WOCN certification

  • BSN required, MSN preferred

  • Active California RN license

  • Current BLS through the American Heart Association

  • 4+ years of acute care RN experience

  • At least 1 year of nursing leadership/management experience preferred

  • Strong inpatient wound care expertise

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • A collaborative, approachable leadership style

  • Someone looking for a long-term leadership opportunity, not simply their next title

Why Consider It?

This is a well-established health system with a strong reputation for clinical excellence, education, innovation, and professional development. You’ll have the resources of a large regional medical center while having the opportunity to make a visible impact on the wound care program and the team you lead.

And the location is hard to beat.

  • Warm, sunny Southern California climate

  • Hiking, mountains and year-round outdoor recreation

  • Wellness-focused, relaxed lifestyle

  • Golf, tennis, dining, arts and entertainment

  • Convenient access to beaches and major Southern California destinations

This is an ideal opportunity for a WOCN-certified Nurse leader who wants to have a voice in the direction of a wound care program and make a tangible difference in patient care, staff development and clinical outcomes.

If you are ready to take the next step in your career and the idea of combining meaningful work within an exceptional Southern California environment…We’d love to hear from you!

Please reply to resume to Donna Ellixson at dellixson@ghrhealthcare.com.

Compensation: Excellent Salary (depending on years of experience) & Benefit package.  Relocation Offered!
