Job description
Join our team in Fort Morgan for a 13-week travel contract working in a 14-bed Medical/Surgical unit. This role offers 12-hour day shifts, giving you ample opportunity to enjoy the local scenery and activities once your shift wraps up. As a registered nurse, you will manage patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, hypertension, COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. The setting emphasizes working in a rural environment with fewer resources and lower patient volumes, perfect for those who thrive in a close-knit team while handling titratable drips like analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives. RNs are expected to read strips and escalate concerns as needed, with no telemonitor techs on site. The unit involves collaboration with charge nurses and nurse assistants, with a focus on safely delivering care in a supportive setting. The hospital provides scrubs, and orientation is conducted locally, ensuring you're fully prepared for a rewarding assignment.
