Job description

This 12-week travel assignment places you in a bustling hospital setting, where you will work night shifts running 12 hours each. The role involves clinical support on a 128-bed Medical-Surgical unit with a diverse patient population, including surgical cases like colorectal, hepatobiliary, bariatric, as well as medical conditions like diabetes and heart disease. You'll collaborate closely with charge nurses, most of whom also take assignments, and work alongside patient care techs and respiratory specialists. The unit operates on a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, and you'll be expected to handle routine tasks such as troubleshooting RT equipment, reading remote tele-monitor strips, and supporting patient needs within a well-established team. This assignment will mark your transition to Epic electronic health records, which will be implemented in late 2026. Expect to bring your current medical-surgical experience, especially in large hospital settings, to provide efficient, reliable care during your shift.
