Job description
Join our team as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel contract in Madison, WI. This role involves working the 12-hour night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, caring for patients recovering from diverse surgeries such as colon, Whipple, cholecystectomy, and liver resections, among others. The ideal candidate will be comfortable floating to similar units as needed, with patient ratios typically between 1:5 and 6. You’ll get a chance to see a wide variety of medical conditions, from gastrointestinal issues to post-operative care. Your nights will be staffed with experienced professionals, and every other weekend coverage is required. BCLS certification is mandatory, while ACLS is preferred, ensuring you’re prepared for anything the shift throws your way. This assignment offers a rewarding opportunity to make a difference while exploring a new city in a vibrant part of Wisconsin, all over a schedule that provides ample rest and professional growth.
