Med/Surg RN in Evansville, Indiana

Join the team at a Midwestern trauma care center as an MS RN on a 13-week night shift contract. This role involves caring for patients with complex neuro, trauma, and orthopedic conditions, including spinal injuries, fractures, and neuro assessments. You'll be performing advanced assessments, log rolling patients, and applying assistive devices while interpreting tele/12-lead EKGs. The assignment offers the opportunity to work in a hospital recognized for its collaborative staff and leadership, with a focus on trauma and orthopedic specialties. Expected to work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, you'll experience a mix of scheduled weekends and holidays. The unit size is 44 beds, and a strong emphasis is placed on assessment skills, critical thinking, and resilience. Candidates must have at least 2 years of RN experience, neuro and trauma background, and recent Epic charting experience. This contract is ideal for a dedicated professional ready to make a difference in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
