Job description
This RN contract opportunity places you in the bustling unit of 6 East Ortho/Trauma at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Expect to engage in post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacement procedures, trauma cases, and neuro overflow patients, with a focus on orthopedic and trauma patient care. The shift consists of 12-hour days, offering three shifts per week along with three weekend shifts in each schedule period. You will collaborate closely with unit secretaries and PCTs, utilizing Meditech documentation, and working with equipment like traction, fixators, and cooling devices. Prior ORTHO experience, Telemetry, and NIH procedures are highly valued. This role offers a chance to work at a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, where bedside shift reports and hourly rounding are standard practices. Your expertise will be essential in a fast-paced environment that values skilled and dedicated nursing professionals.
