Job description
Join the surgical nursing team at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau for a 20-week contract working night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on the 5H Surgical Unit, a unit focusing on post-surgical recovery with a capacity of 23 beds. Your role involves providing skilled postoperative care for patients recovering from urology, orthopedic, and general surgeries, with an emphasis on quick assessment, patient stabilization, and education. The environment offers the chance to learn and take on charge of patients in a fast-paced Med Surg setting, utilizing EPIC electronic medical records. This assignment is a unique opportunity to gain specialized post-surgical experience while working within a supportive team that values clear communication and teamwork, all during a schedule that keeps your nights lively and days free.
