Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the applicable state
• At least 3 years of professional nursing experience, including Medical-Surgical, telemetry, or Observation Care experience
• Previous telemetry nursing experience with the ability to interpret and monitor cardiac rhythms
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Ability to provide required credentials, professional references, and requested compliance documentation
• Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts per week in an on-site healthcare setting

Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to patients in an Observation Care setting
• Perform focused nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and identify changes requiring intervention
• Interpret and monitor telemetry rhythms and promptly communicate significant findings to the appropriate care team
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders, nursing standards, and facility policies
• Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support safe, timely patient transitions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered environment while following unit and facility standards
