Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Edmonds, WA

Join a collaborative Labor & Delivery team in Edmonds, Washington, as a travel RN providing compassionate maternity and newborn care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and OB triage. Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,330–$2,450
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
• Patient Populations: Adults and infants
• Documentation: Epic
• Float: Flexibility to float as needed, including to nearby affiliated facilities

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience, including LDRP, postpartum, and newborn care
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; an active compact license must be in hand at submission when applicable
• AWHONN Intermediate certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Demonstrated experience with fetal monitoring, IV starts, circulating for cesarean sections, and high-risk obstetric care
• Current Epic charting experience preferred
• Ability to provide two professional references covering at least one year of recent experience
• Strong communication skills and flexibility to support changing patient-care needs

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, antepartum, OB triage, and LDRP settings
• Care for patients experiencing routine and high-risk pregnancies and deliveries
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries and circulate in the operating room as needed
• Perform fetal heart monitoring, sterile vaginal examinations, obstetric triage, and use of intrauterine pressure catheters
• Administer and monitor blood and blood products, magnesium sulfate, insulin infusions, anticoagulants, antihypertensives, and pain-management therapies
• Start and maintain peripheral IVs and central lines while following infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Manage epidural and PCA pumps and support post-cesarean recovery
• Provide couplet care and support normal newborn care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, patient-centered maternity care
• Float to nearby affiliated units or facilities when operationally required
