• Holiday Requirement: Work two major holidays and one minor holiday during the assignment, as scheduled

Oncology Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
• At least 2 years of recent inpatient oncology or closely related medical-surgical nursing experience
• Experience caring for acute-care oncology patients preferred
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and patient-advocacy skills

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients receiving inpatient oncology treatment
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes in clinical status, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring for therapeutic effects and adverse reactions
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, rehabilitation staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and families about oncology treatment plans, symptom management, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and facility standards
• Support safe transitions of care and promote a positive experience for patients and their families
