Mixer Operator

Position Title: Mixer Operator
Location: La Salle, IL
Shift: 2nd and/or 3rd Shift Available

Job Summary

The Mixer Operator is responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients according to established formulas and production schedules. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, consistency, and food safety standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh, measure, and stage ingredients according to recipes and batch sheets.
• Operate industrial mixing equipment and monitor mixing times, speeds, and specifications.
• Verify that all ingredients are properly recorded and added in the correct sequence.
• Perform quality checks on doughs, batters, and finished mixes to ensure consistency and compliance with standards.
• Complete required production documentation and batch records.
• Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical issues to maintenance or supervision.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and cleaning between production runs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work closely with production and packaging teams to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food manufacturing, mixing, baking, production, or machine operation preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, formulas, and production instructions.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating ingredient quantities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
