Job description
DIRECT HIRE POSITION AVAILABLE
Location: Horseheads, NY
Position: CDL Tractor-Trailer Driver
Pay: $26.00/HR
Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday
Hours: 11:30 AM – 7:00 PM
We are currently hiring an experienced CDL Driver for a DIRECT HIRE opportunity in Horseheads.
Position Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver freight safely and efficiently
- Operate tractor-trailer equipment
- Hook and unhook trailers
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate trip reports and BOLs
- Follow all DOT, OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations
- Maintain clean and safe equipment
- Communicate delays, breakdowns, weather, traffic, and other issues to dispatch
- May operate a forklift to move inventory
- Occasional over-the-road runs may require staying out 1–2 nights
Requirements
- Valid CDL
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Acceptable driving record
- Must meet DOT medical requirements
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to pass E-Verify
