• Number of Beds - 20

• Number of Staff - 40

• Type of staff: RNs and PCTs

• Day Shift - 1 Charge RN, 5 nurses, 3PCTs

• Night Shift - 1 Charge RN, 5 nurses, 2 PCTs

• Patient Ratios - 1:4

• Type of equipment - Tele, Transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, bipap, cpap, heated high flow, chest tubes, foleys, pacer wires/pacers, iv pumps, scd pumps

• EMR - meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Minimum 1-year current PCU experience

• BLS, ACLS & NIH

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Extensive NEURO Experience

• PCU experience, cardiac experience

List typical procedure (s) performed on the Unit:


• Chest tube placement, remove chest tubes, remove pacer wires, 12 lead EKGs

• Drips - heparin, tikosin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitro, Lasix, ketamine
