General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):
• Number of Beds - 10 bays
• Number of Staff - 13 RNs
• Type of staff:
o Day Shift - varies depending on scheduled procedures/surgical cases between 6-8 RNs
o Night Shift - 24 hour call coverage call normally begins at 9:30pm -7:30am Mon-Fri. Sat/Sun 24 hour
• Patient Ratios - per CPAN Guidelines
• Type of equipment - GE patient monitors, stryker and hillrom beds
• EMR - expanse

Skill Set Most recruited for:

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• PACU and PACU pedi experience Level II or higher
•
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• ICU experience
• ER experience
• CPAN
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
• Pedi-adult all cases from lumpectomies, tubes, tonsils to open heart surgery
• Including Trauma
Best personality Fit:
• Upbeat, flexible, compassionate, patient focused, team player, willing to help as needed
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
• ACLS, BLS, PALS
Floating Area(s):
• Endo, SDC if needed.

Dress Code :
• Scrub Color/Attire - Hospital provided

Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
• Call requirement is 30-minute response which includes being dressed and ready to accept patient in the PACU

Weekends and On call(if any)
• Call Frequency is once a week Monday thru Thursday, one Friday every 5 weeks, 2 24-hour weekend shifts in a 5-week schedule. The unit does self-schedule with the nurse leader moving staff as needed to cover the unit.
