Med/Surg RN in Aberdeen, South Dakota

Job Description

Join a 13-week travel nursing contract in a critical care setting serving adolescent through geriatric medical-surgical patients. You will provide individualized care for critically ill patients, interpret hemodynamic monitoring results, respond to changing conditions, and anticipate complications or emergencies. The role uses EPIC One Chart, PLUM IV smart pumps, central and arterial lines, ventilators, IABP equipment, and an overhead patient lift system. Critical care assignments generally run at a 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, with at least two RNs scheduled whenever patients are present. Your clinical judgment will be the compass during rotating 12-hour shifts, with no call requirement.

Candidates should have a South Dakota or multistate compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, and preferably at least two years of CCU experience. CCRN and/or TNCC are a plus. Schedules may include rotating days and nights or straight nights, with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements. Floating to Med/Surg may be required when the CCU census is low.
