• Shift Duration: Posting classification reflects 12-hour day shifts; coverage is structured as 24-hour in-house call shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Call Coverage: In-house, beeper/phone, and secure messaging call; some shifts may have a midwife serving as first call
• Coverage Dates: November 3, 10, 12, and 19; December 1, 2, 10, 29, and 31
• Average Call-Back: Variable, ranging from 0–15 hours
• EMR: Meditech electronic medical record
• Teaching Requirement: None

OB/GYN Physician Job Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Virginia physician license preferred
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Active DEA registration
• Clean malpractice history sufficient to obtain temporary privileges
• Availability for the listed coverage dates must be confirmed at submission
• Ability to provide required credentialing documentation promptly

OB/GYN Physician Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour OB/GYN call coverage in an inpatient hospital setting
• Perform emergency obstetric and gynecologic surgeries
• Conduct obstetric and gynecologic triage evaluations
• Manage labor and delivery, including evaluation and treatment of urgent conditions
• Provide recovery and postpartum care
• Respond to in-house, telephone, and secure-message consultations
• Collaborate with midwives and the broader care team to support safe, high-quality patient care
• Complete timely clinical documentation in the Meditech electronic medical record
