Travel Physical Therapy Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310–$2,480
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 8, 2027
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, Monday through Friday
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Expected Caseload: Approximately 6–7 weighted visits per day
• Weekend Coverage: Approximately every fourth or fifth weekend for Physical Therapy; weekend coverage may be limited to orthopedic cases
• Additional Assignment Information: Mileage reimbursement is provided at the applicable IRS rate. This opportunity is open to first-time travelers.

Home Health Physical Therapist Requirements

• At least 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required
• Previous Home Health Physical Therapist experience preferred
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist license or compact privilege required; license must be in hand at submission
• Current CPR certification required
• MatrixCare or Epic experience preferred, but not required
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to provide safe, independent patient care in home-based settings

Home Health Physical Therapy Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy plans of care
• Administer medically prescribed treatments for patients recovering from injuries or managing muscle, nerve, joint, and bone conditions
• Provide education and practical guidance to patients and caregivers
• Direct patient participation in therapeutic activities designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance functional performance
• Work toward improved mobility, pain relief, functional recovery, and prevention of disability
• Participate in discharge planning and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in accordance with applicable policies and clinical standards
