Locum Tenens Physician Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $12,600–$13,500

• Schedule: Typically one week on and one week off; Monday through Sunday coverage
• Shift Coverage: Daytime procedures Monday through Friday, with evening and weekend call and potential call-ins for emergent cases
• Call Responsibilities: Overnight and weekend interventional radiology call coverage

Interventional Radiology Physician Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• At least 1 year of interventional radiology physician experience
• Current eligibility for medical licensure and credentialing in Pennsylvania
• Strong community interventional radiology skills
• Ability to manage associated diagnostic radiology reading responsibilities
• Comfort overseeing advanced practice providers performing procedures within their established skill sets
• Ability to participate in evening, overnight, and weekend call coverage

Interventional Radiology Physician Responsibilities

• Provide daytime interventional radiology coverage Monday through Friday
• Perform community interventional radiology procedures, including lumbar punctures, thoracenteses, paracenteses, and biopsies
• Perform additional interventional radiology procedures appropriate to the physician’s training and privileges
• Provide evening and weekend call coverage, including evaluation of emergent cases and call-in response when necessary
• Oversee advanced practice providers performing designated procedures within their skill sets
• Complete diagnostic radiology reading responsibilities between procedures as needed
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support timely, high-quality patient care
