Travel Home Health Job Details

• Location: Teaneck, NJ area; home visits throughout designated communities in Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic counties
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,010–$1,090
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 15, 2027
• Schedule: Five 8-hour day shifts per week
• Shift Hours: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric hospice and home health patients
• Caseload: Approximately 4 patients or visits per 8-hour shift
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Typically every other holiday
• Charting: Electronic medical record (EMR)

Certified Home Health Aide and Hospice Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of home health aide and hospice aide experience
• Current Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to provide in-home patient care throughout the assigned New Jersey service area
• Strong communication skills and the ability to recognize and report changes in patient condition
• Ability to safely perform transfers, repositioning, personal care, and mobility assistance using proper body mechanics
• Current required COVID-19 vaccination, including booster, and influenza vaccination

Home Health and Hospice Aide Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and hospice support in patients’ homes
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, hygiene, dressing, feeding, mouth care, foot care, skin care, and incontinence care
• Perform bed baths, shower assistance, perineal care, linen changes, and grooming support
• Assist with ambulation, safe transfers, wheelchair mobility, passive range of motion, turning, and repositioning
• Use transfer belts, sliding boards, specialty beds, and other approved equipment safely
• Support pressure injury prevention, heel and elbow protection, and proper skin-care practices
• Monitor and document vital-sign awareness, intake, output, and other pertinent observations
• Follow individualized care plans and complete required documentation in the EMR
• Report changes in patient condition, safety concerns, and care needs promptly to the appropriate clinical team
• Maintain a clean, safe care environment while following infection-control and personal protective equipment procedures
