• Call Requirements: On-call coverage required, with the possibility of one weekend per month and holiday coverage
• Operating Room Environment: 24 operating rooms with an expected 1:1 staffing ratio

CVOR Surgical Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of operating room experience, including specialized CVOR experience
• Demonstrated experience supporting cardiac and vascular surgical procedures
• Valid Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification or applicable Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work on-site, participate in call coverage, and support occasional weekend or holiday needs
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room safety practices

CVOR OR Technician Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, supplies, instruments, and equipment for cardiac and vascular procedures
• Maintain sterile technique throughout CVOR surgical procedures
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and the surgical team during cardiovascular operating room cases
• Pass instruments and supplies efficiently while supporting a safe, organized surgical workflow
• Assist with operating room turnover, inventory management, and equipment readiness
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the perioperative team
• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled, including possible weekend and holiday assignments
