Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Newton, MA

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Assignment Dates: November 29, 2026 – February 27, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; three 12-hour night shifts
• Shift: 7:15 p.m. – 7:15 a.m.
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Rotating weekends and holidays
• Nursing Specialty: Medical-surgical telemetry
• Location: Newton, Massachusetts, in the Boston area
• Position Availability: Multiple openings

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience; medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience preferred
• Demonstrated competency in caring for patients requiring cardiac and physiological monitoring
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays
• Successful completion of required clinical skills validation and assignment-related screening
• Professional references and an up-to-date nursing resume

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other clinical data, documenting findings accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation while supporting a safe and patient-centered care environment
