Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Newton, Massachusetts
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Start Date: November 29, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, through February 27, 2027
• Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; three 12-hour shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts, including days approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. and nights approximately 7:15 p.m.–7:15 a.m.
• Shift Requirements: Rotating weekends and holidays based on department needs
• Openings: 5 positions
• Healthcare Setting: On-site adult medical-surgical telemetry unit

Med/Surg Tele RN Qualifications

• Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to care for adult patients requiring cardiac and physiologic monitoring
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
• Ability to complete required credentialing, skills validation, and facility orientation requirements

Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to adult patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Assess patients, monitor telemetry and clinical status, and promptly identify changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments while following established patient safety protocols
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, responses to care, and ongoing patient needs
