Experienced OB Surgical Technologist (CST) sought for a 13-week Labor & Delivery contract in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Surgical Technologist Job Details

• Specialty: Operating Room / Labor & Delivery Surgical Technologist
• Location: West Chester, Pennsylvania
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,520–$1,640
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with potential extension based on department needs
• Start Date: November 23, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Holiday commitment required, including the current assignment for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day
• Work Setting: On-site Labor & Delivery unit

OB Surgical Technologist Job Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
• At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery surgical technologist experience
• Demonstrated experience scrubbing obstetrical procedures, including cesarean sections
• Ability to work independently with minimal orientation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a high-acuity clinical environment
• Willingness to work required weekends and holidays

Labor & Delivery Surgical Technologist Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist during cesarean sections and other obstetrical surgical procedures
• Prepare, maintain, and monitor sterile fields in the operating room
• Set up delivery tables and equipment for vaginal deliveries
• Assist providers during difficult laceration repairs and other obstetrical procedures
• Turn over labor rooms and operating rooms between patients
• Clean and prepare monitoring equipment and room supplies
• Stock rooms and maintain adequate supply levels throughout the department
• Assist with patient transport and positioning as needed
• Support safe, efficient patient care by collaborating with nurses, physicians, anesthesia providers, and other team members
