Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890–$1,990
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Shift: Day shifts, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Schedule: Four 12-hour shifts per week; 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Patient Population: Medical, surgical, telemetry, and observation patients
• Typical Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Documentation: Cerner; Epic or Cerner experience preferred
• Float Expectations: May work in two units during a 12-hour shift based on operational needs

Travel RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts, in hand before assignment start
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience
• Cardiac nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience interpreting cardiac dysrhythmias and caring for telemetry patients
• Experience with cardiac medication drips, including Cardizem and amiodarone; titration experience as applicable to unit protocols
• Experience with IV insulin protocols preferred
• Float pool or overflow nursing experience is a plus
• First-time travel nurses are welcome with the required clinical experience
• Compliance with applicable vaccination requirements, including COVID-19 and influenza policies

Med-Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical, telemetry, and observation patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and promptly communicate changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips in accordance with established protocols
• Assess patients, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with providers, nursing colleagues, and interdisciplinary team members to support safe, effective patient care
• Adapt to overflow assignments and float between units as patient-care needs require
• Support safe staffing operations, including relief coverage for video-monitoring responsibilities when assigned
