Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of application
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience, including telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Recent Epic electronic medical record experience, which must be included in work history
• Strong knowledge of telemetry, PCU, DOU, IMC, or stepdown nursing practices
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult telemetry patients during overnight shifts
• Interpret and manage cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Respond appropriately to rapid response and code team situations
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips without titration according to established protocols
• Perform central line and peripheral line care and management
• Administer blood products safely and monitor patients for transfusion reactions
• Provide oxygen therapy, including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway support
• Apply isolation precautions and use appropriate personal protective equipment
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support high-quality patient outcomes
