Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000–$2,100
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency department telemetry overflow

Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse license in hand
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience, including telemetry nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications in hand
• Recent Epic electronic health record experience required
• Experience interpreting and managing cardiac dysrhythmias
• Competency with cardiac drips without titration, central-line care, peripheral-line care, blood product administration, oxygen therapy, and noninvasive airway management
• Willingness to float and provide weekend coverage as needed
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute-care and emergency department environment

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to telemetry overflow patients in the emergency department
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and promptly communicate changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips according to orders and unit protocols
• Perform focused assessments, reassessments, and ongoing clinical monitoring
• Provide central-line and peripheral-line care and administer blood products safely
• Deliver oxygen therapy and support noninvasive airway management
• Use rapid-response and code-team resources appropriately during patient emergencies
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic electronic health record
• Follow isolation precautions, infection-prevention standards, and hospital policies
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Float to designated areas and support weekend staffing needs when assigned
