Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Lakewood, California
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000–$2,100
• Position Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• End Date: March 1, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Weekend Coverage: Required

Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience in telemetry, progressive care, or a comparable acute-care setting
• Current California RN license in hand at the time of application
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications in hand
• Epic experience required and must be documented in work history
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Ability to provide two supervisor references upon application
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, organization, and patient-care skills

Travel Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry and progressive-care patients during 12-hour day shifts
• Monitor patients, interpret dysrhythmias, and promptly identify changes in clinical condition
• Manage cardiac drips without titration according to established protocols and provider orders
• Participate in rapid response and code team activities as needed
• Perform central-line and peripheral-line care and management
• Administer blood products safely and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Provide oxygen therapy, nasal-cannula care, and non-invasive airway management
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Follow isolation precautions and appropriate personal protective equipment procedures
• Float to other appropriate units as assigned and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
