Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Fountain Valley, CA

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090–$2,200
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• End Date: March 1, 2027
• Nursing Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Healthcare Unit: Progressive Telemetry
• Work Setting: On-site
• Additional Scheduling: Weekend coverage and floating may be required

Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of application
• At least 2 years of recent Telemetry or progressive care nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Demonstrated experience with Epic electronic health record documentation
• Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Two recent supervisor references required with application materials
• Ability to float between appropriate units and provide weekend coverage as needed

Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in a progressive telemetry and cardiac monitoring setting
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, identify dysrhythmias, and promptly escalate changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with cardiac, neurologic, respiratory, renal, and other complex medical conditions
• Manage patients requiring oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, and non-invasive airway support
• Administer and monitor cardiac medications, blood products, thrombolytic therapies, and other treatments according to established protocols
• Provide central line, PICC, chest tube, feeding tube, urinary catheter, and peripheral IV care
• Deliver pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac catheterization, cardiac surgery, angiography, and related interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, participate in rapid response and code situations, and maintain accurate Epic documentation
