Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Current Registered Nurse license or licensure eligibility to practice in New Jersey
• Strong patient assessment, triage, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to provide compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department
• Current required life-support certifications for emergency nursing practice

Emergency Nursing Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity and presenting condition
• Provide timely nursing care to patients with a wide range of emergent and urgent needs
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and escalate changes in condition
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, coordinated patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and thoroughly
• Educate patients and families while delivering professional, compassionate emergency care
