Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license eligible for practice in Texas
• Graduate-level education from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current national certification appropriate to the Nurse Practitioner role
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate, and collaborative patient care
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and electronic health record documentation skills

General Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients, obtain medical histories, and perform comprehensive physical examinations
• Develop diagnoses and individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
• Prescribe medications and coordinate follow-up care within the scope of practice
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care
• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and clinical progress accurately and promptly
