Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Arizona Travel Nursing Contract

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in Show Low, Arizona: join an acute-care Med/Surg Tele team for a 13-week night-shift assignment beginning November 9, 2026. This travel nursing role supports a 10-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry capability at every bedside and offers the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a collaborative environment. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Location: Show Low, Arizona
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Contract Dates: November 9, 2026 through February 8, 2027
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, typically three shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Patient Population: Adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients, with occasional pediatric patients based on acuity
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Clinical Environment: Level III trauma setting with telemetry technicians, charge nurses, health unit coordinators, and patient care technicians
• Documentation System: Allscripts

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Arizona
• At least 2 years of recent acute-care Med/Surg nursing experience
• Previous telemetry nursing experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current NIHSS certification
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to float to medical-surgical units and provide care for medical-surgical overflow patients in the ICU
• Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and critical-thinking skills

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to acute medical-surgical and telemetry patients during overnight shifts
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and promptly escalate concerns
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments, administer medications, and coordinate individualized plans of care
• Care for patients across a range of acuities, including occasional pediatric patients as assigned
• Collaborate with providers, charge nurses, telemetry technicians, and support staff to promote positive patient outcomes
• Float to other medical-surgical units and care for appropriate medical-surgical overflow patients in the ICU when needed
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Allscripts
• Provide patient and family education and support safe transitions of care
