Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Easley, SC

Join a collaborative adult surgical specialty team as a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) in Easley, South Carolina. This on-site travel nursing contract offers the opportunity to provide adult medical-surgical and telemetry care in a 30-bed unit with an average daily census of approximately 20 patients. Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Easley, South Carolina
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• End Date: March 1, 2027
• Healthcare Setting: On-site adult Med/Surg Tele and surgical specialty unit
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; 36 hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend; scheduling may vary based on unit needs
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5
• Documentation System: EPIC
• Medication System: Omnicell

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele or medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• At least 1 year of EPIC experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with adult patient care, cardiac telemetry, remote telemetry monitoring, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with blood product administration, CVA care, surgical drains, and total joint replacement patients preferred
• Ability to float to other qualified units or clinical locations as needed
• Ability to complete required pre-assignment testing and onboarding modules

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical telemetry and surgical specialty environment.
• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate clinical outcomes.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient status, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols.
• Care for patients with medical-surgical conditions, cerebrovascular events, post-operative needs, surgical drains, and orthopedic joint replacements.
• Perform blood product administration and other procedures within documented competencies.
• Communicate effectively with providers, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in EPIC.
• Float to units where competencies have been demonstrated and provide safe, high-quality care according to assignment needs.
