Nextaff of Sarasota is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant for a unique float opportunity with a fast-growing, multi-office medical practice serving Sarasota and Manatee counties. This isn't just another MA opening. You'll become a versatile member of the team, working in both clinical and front-office roles and supporting multiple medical practice locations. It's an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience, build relationships across the organization and position yourself for long-term growth.This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a clear path to permanent employment.
What You'll Do

• Room and prepare patients for provider visits
• Obtain medical histories and vital signs
• Assist providers with exams, procedures and treatments
• Perform blood draws/phlebotomy as needed
• Prepare and maintain exam and procedure rooms
• Provide patient check-in/check-out and front-desk support
• Schedule appointments and procedures
• Assist with medical records, test results and authorizations
• Document and work within an EMR/EHR
• Provide coverage at medical practice locations throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties

We're Looking for Someone Who Can Do BothThe ideal candidate isn't limited to the back office or the front desk. You're comfortable moving between clinical patient care and administrative responsibilities and can quickly adapt to different teams and locations.You'll need:

• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience
• Hands-on phlebotomy/blood draw experience
• Strong clinical and front-office skills
• EMR/EHR experience and solid computer skills
• Excellent communication and patient-service skills
• Flexibility to work at multiple locations throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties
• A dependable, team-first attitude
