Travel RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Connecticut
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible
• Previous Epic experience required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current ACLS and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, and designated holidays
• Availability to work the full assignment schedule; blocked schedules are not available

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients with a variety of general medical diagnoses.
• Assess patients, develop and update individualized care plans, and evaluate responses to treatment.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and escalate concerns promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with established standards.
• Perform focused and comprehensive assessments, including neurological assessments and telemetry-related monitoring as indicated.
• Collaborate with providers, nursing colleagues, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, patient care assistants, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery, safety, and discharge planning.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in Epic and support a safe, organized patient-care environment.
